INTERIOR DESIGN BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN MUMBAI, INDIA

In the heart of one of the most beautiful bays of the city and in particular in Worli, the liveliest area in terms of advancement, it is building a 33-storey structure of which 19 will host one of the 5 star boutique hotel most waited in Mumbai and whoseRebosio+Spagnulo will sign the interior design project.

The architects were confronted with a particular shape of the architecture that provides the compresence, in the same structure, of two different functions: an hospital for specialized treatment of maximum excellence and a 5 star boutique hotel.

The tower, currently under construction, considers a dedicated access to the Hotel ground floor, with a lounge entrance, entirely covered in glass and water, where, through a group of six fast elevators, the future host can direct access to the 14th floor, home to the real Lobby Hotel.

The nature of the place, so strong and intrusive, defines the dominant features of Rebosio+Spagnulo interior design project for boutique hotels: a luminous ceiling that runs free in the space and simulates the passage of the winding ocean breeze from the window and the large terrace on the opposite side of the building. The decorations of some walls made of metal molds resemble shells and sediments of sand, as well as the covering of some walls of local stone are similar to the sandstone rocks along the coast.

On the 15th floor the SPA, literally “dug” into the split and filled stone, as a quarry from the water whirlpools, also overlooks the city and the bay through a window to the water for an unforgettable views during the treatments.

The Fine Dining restaurant is distinguished by the glossy surfaces of marble and the ceilings, textures of walls that surround a central wine cellar.

96 rooms are planned, divided into Deluxe Rooms, Junior Suites, One bedroom Suites and one Presidential Suite. The highest level of finishes and materials provided, necessary for the high standards of boutique hotels, still counts a predominance of Indian origin.
